God’s Promise

यदा यदा हि धर्मस्य ग्लानिर्भवति भारत।अभ्युत्थानमधर्मस्य तदात्मानं सृजाम्यहम् ॥४-७॥

Yadaa yadaa hi dharmasya glaanir bhavati bhaarata;
Abhyutthaanam adharmasya tadaatmaanam srijaamyaham.

Whenever there is a decline of righteousness and rise of unrighteousness, O Arjuna, then I manifest Myself! (BG 4:7).

परित्राणाय साधूनां विनाशाय च दुष्कृताम् । धर्मसंस्थापनार्थाय सम्भवामि युगे युगे ॥४-८॥

Paritraanaaya saadhoonaam vinaashaaya cha dushkritaam;
Dharma samsthaapanaarthaaya sambhavaami yuge yuge.

I am manifested in every age for the protection of the good, the destruction of the wicked, and the establishment of righteousness. (BG 4:8)

NOTE: We all have to try to develop Krishna’s qualities in us, and then Krishna may select one of us to manifest Him fully in that person.
